Silkscreen printing in Yekaterinburg — screen printing technology, in which the ink is applied through a thin sieve (silk or polyester) stretched over the frame. It is characterized by the density of the paint layer, the possibility of using special paints (metallic, fluorescent, tactile) and durability. Special colors in silkscreen printing
- Metallics — gold, silver, copper, bronze. They are not comparable to offset in terms of brightness.
- Fluorescent — yellow, orange, pink, green. They glow under a UV lamp.
- The whitewash is opaque — the only way to print white on black or colored paper, dark fabric.
- Pantone selection — accurate match to the brand's signature color.
- Lucky — glossy or matte, only on certain areas (selective UV varnish).
Advantages of silkscreen printing over digital and offset printing
Silkscreen printing gives dense paint layer — 8-12 microns versus 1-2 microns for offset. This means richer colors, better resistance to mechanical abrasion, and the ability to use special paints that are not physically available in digital and offset. The disadvantage is only the small print runs and the difficulty with photographic printing (offset or digital is used for this). The perfect combination: offset for full-color + silk-screen printing for the metallic logo on top.
The deadline for completing a silkscreen order
The preparation of the shapes (exposure of the grid) takes 1 day for each color. The print run itself takes 1-2 days. In total, 3-5 working days for a one— or two-color print run, 5-7 days for 3+ colors. Urgent (per day) is only possible for repeat runs when the forms are already available.
