Screen printing — a method of reproducing text and graphic images using a stencil, a printing plate through which printing ink penetrates the printed material in places corresponding to the printing elements (the ink spaces are opaque).
Printing with appropriate inks can be carried out on almost all materials — paper, plastic, PVC, glass, ceramics, metals, fabrics, leather, etc. Inks can vary in the type of binder — aqueous, solvent (solvent-based), ultraviolet curing, plastisols (requiring temperature fixation).
Silkscreen printing is also used to print decals (decals on glass or ceramics) with or without subsequent firing, and to apply an erasable ("scratch") layer for lottery tickets and payment cards.
This method got its name "silkscreen printing" due to the patent of the screen printing process, issued in 1907 under the name Eng. Silk screen printing — "silk screen printing". It is believed that this method of printing originated in ancient times, but screen printing acquired its modern look in the middle of the last century. Due to the special features of the technology, silkscreen printing allows you to print on both flat and cylindrical surfaces. Nowadays, screen printing is used not only in the printing industry, but also in the textile, electronic, automotive, glass, ceramic and other industries.
One of the features of silkscreen printing is the ability to obtain a thick colorful layer from 8-10 microns to 1000 or more (for offset, the colorful layer is 1-2 microns) with impressive opacity and color brightness. Special effects can also be widely used — glitters (sequins), volumetric printing, imitation of velvet or rubber. Direct printing directly onto the surface to be sealed is possible, as well as transfer printing onto an intermediate medium with subsequent transfer to the product.
The standard production time for silkscreen business cards is from 5 working days from the date of approval of the layout and prepayment.
Silkscreen printing creates a raised, voluminous coating with high color saturation, digital printing gives a flat image.
Silkscreen printing allows you to print with white ink, as well as silver and gold — this gives a metallic visual effect without resorting to third-party technologies.
Silkscreen printing is ideal for premium business cards with special visual effects.
Yes, we can print on the customer's material. Some types of paper strongly absorb paints, for example, malmero. In this case, several layers of coating may be needed, which will lead to an increase in the cost of manufacturing the print run.
The minimum period of silkscreen printing is from 5 working days
We offer curly cutting of complex shapes on a plotter and rounding of corners.
You can put together a collection edition. The number of layouts must be a multiple of 2 or 4 or 6. In this case, the number of business cards in each layout will be the same.
For business cards, we recommend the materials of the Sirio Pearl series (300 g/m2) — they have a noble mother-of-pearl surface and emphasize the status of the owner.
PLIKE, ToucheCover, and other varieties of design papers are also popular.
