Printing of thermal stickers on fabric in Yekaterinburg

The Seventh Legion printing house produces thermal adhesives on fabric — digital printing on film with thermoactive glue for transfer to T-shirts, jackets, backpacks, caps. Digital printing technology allows you to get any full-color image, including photographs, gradients, and complex graphics.

How does digital thermal bonding differ from silkscreen printing

  • Digital (DTG/DTF): full-color images, photos, complex designs, from 1 piece
  • Silkscreen printing: limited number of colors, beneficial only for editions of 100+ pieces
  • Thermoapplication: monochrome film elements cut out by plotter

Thermal adhesive on fabric combines the advantages of all technologies: a minimum print run of 1 piece, full-color printing, good resistance to washing.

Types of thermal stickers

  • DTF (Direct-to-Film) — modern technology, suitable for all fabrics
  • Solvent printing on film — for small print runs, POLI-FLEX films
  • Sublimation — for white polyester (T-shirts, flags)
  • Thermal transfer — classic technology for cotton

Which fabrics are covered with thermal adhesives

  • 100% Cotton% — optimally, the thermal adhesive lasts for years
  • Mixed fabrics (cotton + polyester) — Great
  • 100% Polyester% — works with low-temperature films
  • Nylon — with special films (for example, for backpacks)
  • Fleece and knitwear — at a density of 180 g/m2
  • Leather and eco-leather — special films with adhesion to smooth surfaces
  • Denim fabric — it is well tolerated

Why do they order thermal adhesives on fabric?

  • Sports uniform — numbers, surnames, logos of teams and sponsors
  • Corporate merch — T-shirts with a logo for employees and clients
  • Promotional clothing — for exhibitions, conferences, promotions
  • Personal gifts — personalized T-shirts, paired T-shirts, children's clothing
  • School uniform — markings, school logos, squad patches
  • Promotional campaigns — branded clothing with a logo
  • Weddings and holidays — personalized T-shirts for stag/hen parties

Minimum circulation and deadlines

From 1 piece. The production time of one thermal adhesive is 1 working day. The circulation of 10-100 pieces is 2-3 days. An urgent order in 1 hour is possible with a ready-made layout.

The cost of thermal stickers on fabric

  • A6 (10×15 cm), 10 pieces — from 85 ₽/piece
  • A5 (15×21 cm), 20 pieces — from 140 ₽/piece
  • A4 (21×30 cm), 50 pieces — from 180 ₽/piece
  • A3 (30×42 cm), 100 pieces — from 270 ₽/piece
  • Application to the finished product (T—shirt) - +80 ₽/piece

How to apply thermal adhesive

Place the film face down on a clean, dry cloth. Cover with silicone paper. Heat with a thermal press at 160-170 °C, press for 15-20 seconds. After cooling to 30 ° C, carefully remove the film — the pattern will remain on the fabric. Detailed instructions are attached to the order.

Resistance to washing

The thermal adhesive can withstand 50-80 washing cycles at temperatures up to 40 °C. Recommendations: wash from the inside out, without bleach, dry without heating. You can only iron from the inside out or through the fabric.

With thermal stickers, you can easily decorate T-shirts and other products with images that you create yourself by printing a file from your computer and creating a truly unique, new element.

All you will need is a cloth item, a drawing and an iron! You can order a sticker from the Seventh Legion printing house. Our equipment has several ways to make stickers for clothing and fabric.

Transfer instructions. Simple application: - Print the image on FOREVER Laser-Dark and cut it along the contour (for open images or letters, you can use a cutting plotter with an optical positioning sensor) - Remove the substrate and place the transfer on the T-shirt - Cover the image with silicone paper (or your own substrate) and five sheets of plain printer paper - Close the press for 60 seconds (if you use a pneumatic thermal press) or for 80 seconds (if you use a manual thermal press) - Remove 5 sheets of paper - Wipe the silicone paper with a towel while the print cools down to avoid sticking toner on the silicone paper - Remove the silicone paper - For a softer image of the finished image, slightly stretch the product in width.

Thermal transfer paper for laser printers for transferring images to dark fabrics. Main properties of the series: - Sharp contours - High image quality - High resistance to washing.

Transfer parameters: - Cotton, synthetic, mixed fabrics: - Temperature - 200 ° C - Time - 60-80 seconds - Pressure - high (5 bar) - Washing up to 40 ° C (turning the product inside out), without drying in the washing machine. Do not wash in the first 24 hours after transfer.

FAQ

Questions and answers

What are thermal adhesives made by digital laser printing?
These are high-quality stickers that are printed on a laser printer using special FOREVER LASER-DARK thermal paper. After printing, the image is cut out and transferred to the fabric using a thermal press. This method is ideal for complex multi-color designs and small print runs.
What are the advantages of FOREVER LASER-DARK thermal paper [200 g/m2]?
FOREVER LASER-DARK is a professional paper with a density of 200 g/m2, specially created for laser printing. Its key advantages are excellent color transfer, image resistance to washing, elasticity after transfer and perfect compatibility with dark fabrics due to the white substrate.
On which fabrics can such thermal adhesives be applied?
The stickers created on FOREVER LASER-DARK are great for cotton, polyester, blended fabrics, and even some types of nylon. They are especially effective on dark and colored fabrics, as the paper has an opaque white base that does not let the color of the fabric through.
What is the service life of laser-printed thermal stickers?
When applied correctly with a thermal press, the stickers can withstand more than 40 washes at temperatures up to 40 °C without significant loss of quality. The image remains bright and does not crack due to the elastic properties of the thermal film.
Is it possible to print a full-color photo or a complex gradient?
Yes, that's exactly what digital laser printing is perfect for! It allows you to reproduce photographic quality images, smooth gradients and the smallest details, which is impossible with other methods of application to the fabric.
What is the minimum print run that can be ordered?
Digital laser printing allows you to make thermal stickers from 1 piece! This makes the technology ideal for individual orders, trial samples, and small batches when traditional methods are unprofitable.
How do I prepare a layout for laser printing on thermal paper?
The layout must be in vector format (AI, EPS) or raster (PDF, PSD) with a resolution of 300 dpi. Please note that the color rendering may differ from the monitor, so we recommend using color profiles for laser printing. All design elements must be in the CMYK color model.
How long does the production take?
Due to digital technology, production takes 1-2 business days after the layout is approved. The lack of lengthy prepress preparation allows you to fulfill even urgent orders within a few hours.
Is it possible to make different designs in one order?
Yes, this is the key advantage of digital laser printing! You can order several completely different designs in one print run without increasing the cost of preparation. Each sticker will be printed individually.
Do I need special equipment to transfer the stickers to the fabric?
Yes, a professional thermal press is needed for high-quality transfer, which ensures uniform pressure and temperature of about 160-170 °C for 15-20 seconds. We can provide the application instructions or carry out the transfer in our workshop.
