At night, a moving pedestrian becomes visible in the light of car headlights only at a distance of 30 meters – the driver has only 1.3 seconds to react. A pedestrian with a reflective light is already visible at a distance of 300 meters, and the driver has as much as 7 seconds to avoid him and avoid an accident. Experts believe that in the dark, the risk for a pedestrian to become a victim of an accident or provoke an accident doubles, moreover, for a pedestrian without a retro-reflector, it is almost ten times higher than for someone who uses this useful invention. 

The first Coreflect pedestrian light reflector was created in the 1960s in Finland. A high-quality retroreflector must have a sufficient reflective surface: according to the CE standard EN 13356, the minimum value of retroreflection is 400 C.I.L. (luminous intensity coefficient). The lower limit of Coreflect reflectors is set to a factor twice as high – 800 C.I.L., all models have a European certificate of conformity. It is recommended to mount the retroreflector on the right side of the clothing in such a way that it is at hip level - in this position it is best visible in the headlights.
